The Integrated Media Strategy & Planning Lead is responsible for defining global product media strategy and partnering with products / market teams to build robust and fully integrated media plans aligned with the overall strategy across paid, owned, and earned media. They will be an expert in leveraging media analytics to inform decision-making from Media Performance & Measurement and Applied Intelligence & Insights groups.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Define global product media strategy and manage media mix and budget across platforms for different products.
  • Partner with products / key market commercial teams to build robust and fully integrated media plans aligned with the overall strategy (across paid, owned and earned media) that is integrated across all relevant media platforms.
  • Develop understanding of products and TA landscape, and leverage near-real-time insights on consumer behaviors across the different media platforms to rapidly adapt strategy and plans, in conjunction with Applied Intelligence & Insights and respective channel partners.
  • Monitor plan and platform performance to continually optimize media strategy and planning.
  • Lead recurring strategic marketing model mix review sessions with BUs/ products to make decisions on the optimal media mix and monitor budget allocation across different media platforms.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders within the CMO organization and other organizations within Pfizer, including:
    • Partner with products / key market teams to build robust and fully integrated media plans.
    • Work with Applied Intelligence & Insights (Performance Analytics and Campaign Optimization) and Media Performance, Measurement, MediaTech to incorporate insights from the MROI model into media mix decision-making.
    • Collaborate with Applied Intelligence & Insights (Business Insights & Reporting) to collect insights on consumer behaviors and rapidly adapt media strategy (Strategy & Planning) and approach (Global Platform Expertise).
  • Lead a global team of 40 people (based primarily in US) and manage annual budget.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
SPECIALIST EXPERTISE
  • Global media strategy and data-led marketing experience in B2B and B2C capacity.
  • Experience in generating demand through brand and full-funnel performance marketing campaigns.
  • Understanding of data-driven media planning and buying approaches globally.
  • Experience with key topics in media and vendor landscape such as customer journey personalization and messaging; paid, earned, and owned media planning; media activation and reporting.
  • Experience in media strategy, planning and buying driven by deep audience understanding rooted in data.
  • Experience with both traditional and social platforms strategy and management – Facebook Business Manager, Google Ads, Twitter Ads, etc.
  • Creative, innovative problem solver who leads with insights derived from data.
  • Experience with leading agencies, ISV technology companies, or consulting partners in advertising and marketing tech.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or equivalent related field, or/and an MBA.
  • Pharmaceutical marketing experience preferred and knowledge of the healthcare environment.
  • Experience working on a global scale.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $254,400.00 to $424,100.00. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus with a target of 30.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program. Benefits offered include a retirement savings plan, paid vacation, holiday and personal days, paid caregiver/parental and medical leave, and health benefits to include medical, prescription drug, dental and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans. Pfizer compensation structures and benefit packages are aligned locally, the US Salary range provided does not apply to the Tampa, FL or any EXUS locations.
