The VP of Infrastructure and Operations reports to the Chief Technology Officer and is responsible for strategic direction and talent development for several teams that support core technology services of the organization. These include: End User Services - The End User Services team is responsible for first line of contact to employees in supporting desktops and applications. The team manages a catalog of services, coordinates IT service excellence and expansion efforts. Engineering/Infrastructure - The Engineering and Infrastructure team completes the build, execution and support of architectural designs, ensures all standards are being followed and designs meet performance and functional criteria. Additionally, through the Field Team, all new service center builds and updates are performed in a timely manner based on project delivery timelines. IT Support Services - The IT Support Services team is responsible for 24x7 operations of core shared service applications, security operations and end user technologies, in addition to the oversight of IT Service Management. The VP of Infrastructure and Operations will also coordinate with the Chief Technology Officer and leadership in the Enterprise Architecture, Quality, Enablements and Digital Development teams to engage business leaders to seek out innovative solutions and reduce friction, align enterprise IT goals across all disciplines, and define and maintain cross functional strategic roadmaps.
Essential Functions
- Strategic Direction and Operational Alignment of Reporting Areas: Develop comprehensive roadmaps, action plans, and team expectations for assigned business units. Coaching / mentoring assigned leadership on best practices / strategic reasons behind why initiatives and desired outcomes have been assigned to them. Perform process mapping to ensure cross-team resources are identified and integrated into strategic goals. Ongoing collaboration with leadership of other functional areas in the Credit Union. Cascade corporate strategy and align work to achieve company goals.
- Operational Oversight of Reporting Areas: Develop, implement, and manage Key Performance Indicators for assigned business units. Proactively review existing "lights on" costs and identify areas for process revision. Maintain relationships with existing vendors. Establish new vendors as needed.
- Bank Secrecy Act: Remains cognizant of and adheres to Ent policies and procedures, and regulations pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act.
Minimum Formal Qualifications for this Position
- Knowledge Consistent with a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or similar field of study.
- (Preferred) Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or similar field of study OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science / Information Systems AND a Master of Business Administration (MBA)
- 15+ years' overall experience with IT networking, security, systems administration, server management, and/or policy creation or related experience to include:
- 5+ years' combined managerial experience over one or more distinct IT functions.
- 5+ years' managerial experience over large technology teams providing 24X7 support (Preferred)
Each year of relevant work experience may be exchanged for a year in a relevant degree program or vice versa. For example, a requirement of a bachelor's degree in accounting and 2+ years of account experience could be substituted for a high school diploma and 6 years of relevant accounting work experience or a master's degree in accounting and 0 years of work experience.
Technical or Specialized Knowledge/Skills:
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate vision and strategy to all audience levels.
- Strong knowledge of Project Management principles and their practical application.
- Management and fiduciary responsibility of a multi-million dollar budget.
- Extensive experience in governance, capacity planning and strategy around cloud adoption - specifically Microsoft Azure.
- Experience in managing service excellence and new feature delivery in a hyper-growth organization.
- Proven experience in managing security practices in alignment with key industry standards.
- Proven experience in managing, coaching, and developing staff.
- Proven experience in defining work processing structures to reduce time to delivery of projects.
- Experience in utilizing Journey Mapping to help drive outcomes in alignment with user-focused experiences.
- Proven experience in sustaining operational excellence through metric driven oversight and preventative design.
- Previous experience with vendor management.

Additional Information
Typical Pay Range: $170,518 to $223,816 per Year (S21)
This position is eligible for our corporate bonus program based on company performance.
