A core service LSH provides is in the area of Planning, Regeneration + Infrastructure (PR+I); with 100 professional consultants based in London, Bristol, Exeter, Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds, Newcastle, Lincoln, Cambridge and Chelmsford.
We are seeking suitably qualified town centre regeneration / retail consultants to support our dedicated Town Centre & Economic Regeneration (TCER) team, based in our London West End Office HQ
TCER forms an integral part of the PR+I division. PR+I comprises a mix of planning and development consultants, town centre and regeneration experts, land assembly and compulsory purchase advisers, economists, urban designers, and surveyors. Our public and private sector clients include the Government, local authorities, regeneration bodies (e.g. Homes England), developers, investors, owners and occupiers.
KEY FOCUS OF JOB:
To assist senior members of the TCER in the preparation and delivery of high quality town centre consultancy advice for existing and prospective clients on a diverse range of town centre and mixed use regeneration projects.
Requires a good understanding of town centre and shopping centre dynamics, and the impact of key policy, economic, development, regeneration and property market trends.
The wide-ranging role(s) will require a (junior/senior) town centre analyst to develop their skills, understanding and experience in carrying out a wide range of project-related tasks, including preparing:
- evidence-based town centre, retail and leisure visions and strategies.
- town centre health checks and SWOT assessments using a range of key performance indicators.
- catchment mapping, analysis and forecasting consumer trends.
- commissioning, managing and analysis market research - including household, street and business surveys.
- research related to town centre regeneration, property and market trends.
- town centre, retail and leisure (quantitative/qualitative) assessments.
- stakeholder engagement strategies, and carrying out wide-ranging engagement with businesses, organisations, communities and customers.
- policy reviews and appraisals.
- tenders and bids for new commissions.
There is potential for both roles to support and develop wider business development and marketing for the TCER team by contributing to research reports, presentations, conferences, thought-pieces and the website.
Requirements:
- Professional qualifications relevant to role(s).
- Senior Analyst / Associate Director role will require a minimum of 3 years’ experience.
- Require a good understanding of national policy and guidance related to town centre regeneration, including the Levelling Up agenda.
- Require an understanding of dynamic economic, development, and market trends to town centre regeneration issues, challenges and opportunities.
