SharkNinja is conducting a search for an experienced and highly qualified Vice President of Information Technology UK/EU, who is results-oriented and able to bring innovative approaches to Shark Ninja UK/EU technology operations.

Reporting to the CIO, the Vice President of Information Technology UK/EU is responsible for the delivery, management, and implementation of all IT operations and solutions that support SharkNinja customers, associates, and business partners. As a member of the IT senior leadership team, the Vice President of Information Technology UK/EU, is an influential role, making investment and priority trade-off decisions, negotiating and managing vendor contracts, managing the budget and delivery of existing technology services while continuously improving stability and quality, enabling our maniacal global mindset towards consumer and customer satisfaction and recruiting and developing high performing teams. The Vice President of Information Technology UK/EU will provide vision and leadership to a team that includes full-time employees, supported as necessary by contractors and vendor professional services teams. He/she is an advocate for UK/EU business requirements and is responsible for the development, configuration and delivery of a comprehensive global software development strategy, architecture and solutions.

The complexity of this position requires a leadership approach that is engaging, imaginative, and collaborative, with a sophisticated ability to develop scalable, supportable, maintainable, robust, and high-performing solutions that meet our clients’ requirements. This will require the introduction of Agile Methodology that integrates technology and business to quickly develop and deploy business solutions.

This individual will;

Grow, Mentor and nurture our UK/EU technology talent, building a culture that is dedicated to impact.
Develop long term organization strategies that include Europe as an important component of our global team.
Drive continuous improvement guided by division and regional KPIs. Drive reliable execution against quarterly plans and the company roadmap.

Key Responsibilities

  • A seasoned and innovative operationally minded technical leader, with extensive experience managing technical teams across a variety of disciplines.
  • Well connected to developer communities, particularly in UK. Runs a tight ship, but you motivate through inspiration and vision.
  • Lead and inspire the teams to engage with the business, develop compelling business cases, prioritize projects and develop plans that maximize return on investment for the company.
  • Lead a team managing all aspects of technology development and delivery across multiple functions, business units and business lines.
  • Effectively initiate, plan, schedule, control, and bring to closure multiple high priority projects.
  • Manage existing technology programs, products, and services for all lines of business, and manage infrastructure and project teams
  • Oversee the development of the UK technology roadmap and execution of prioritized and approved projects
  • Develop and lead a collaborative and Agile software development approach that improves velocity, while maintaining a strong focus on both quality and scalability.
  • Foster a strong client service mind-set throughout the UK technology team, while championing thought leadership and partnership with the business.
  • Partner with business leaders to create robust solution roadmaps that are integrated with architecture and operations.
  • Seek out, validate, and bring to the technology organization innovative best practices and ideas from the outside.
  • Identify emerging technology trends, especially in the area of SaaS and cloud computing, and ensure the company is leveraging them when appropriate to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and drive value.
  • Ensure that all initiatives are well managed and delivered to meet expectations on functionality, timeliness, and cost.
  • Develop, implement and monitor software development policies and controls to ensure data accuracy, security, and legal and regulatory compliance.
  • Partner with internal clients to develop training and deployment plans aimed at maximizing both user adoption and realization of business benefits.
  • Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to procure resources and technology solutions to meet the company’s strategic objectives.
  • Assure lowest possible cost of ownership of IT systems through vendor negotiations and benchmarking.
  • Recruit, develop and retain high caliber software and hardware development talent, especially for key leadership positions, and develop a robust career ladder, promoting skill development, coaching for improvement and growth, inspiring others through your words and actions, ensuring positive employee, and embracing our mission, vision, and core values.
  • Implement and champion a robust professional development program, and continuously upskill team members to keep them current.

Professional Experience & Qualifications

  • Has successfully led development and delivery of multiple complex business technology solutions into production that have achieved or surpassed business goals.
  • Experience developing and supporting mission critical IT programs optimized to run in the cloud or virtualized environments. Deep knowledge of system architecture, technical design, and system and software development technology.
  • Expertise with managing system development at scale, employing SDLC methodologies including Agile and Scrum.
  • Has knowledge of emerging trends and developments in ERP, PLM, MDM, S&OP, Demand Planning, Direct to consumer E-Commerce and other digital technologies in a consumer product environment.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, or Management Information Systems or equivalent experience. Master’s Degree in related areas considered a plus. 15+ years of senior leadership experience, preferable working with technologies within the retail and wholesale industries, however solid experience in today’s top software solutions (Oracle Fusion, Intershop, Jira etc.) is needed as well.
