MASS constructs active asset allocation strategies and whole portfolio solutions across a wide spectrum of commingled funds, separate accounts, model portfolios, and outsourcing solutions in the wealth and institutional channels.

Why is your role important?

Your role will form part of the EMEA Wealth Solutions team, which is responsible for creating and delivering multi-asset, model portfolio and multi-manger portfolio solutions to wealth managers, private banks, retail platforms and multi-family offices.

As part of this team, you will mainly focus on Wealth clients with a focus on multi-manager solutions where you contribute to providing innovative investment solutions aligned with our clients’ long-term investment objectives in the face of challenging markets and growing complexity.

What will you be doing?

  • Produce in-depth investment research aligned to Wealth solutions

  • Translate investment strategy design into a robust implementable solution, incorporating client custom requirements such as sustainability factors and risk/return objectives

  • Prepare regular and ad-hoc client materials and ensure these meet compliance practices

  • Supervise our client portfolios as a second set of eyes, gain an in-depth understanding of the portfolios and develop the ability to flag issues in portfolios.

  • Attend client meetings with account managers, to provide subject matter expertise and confidently present MASS capabilities, and portfolio insights on performance, risk and positioning

  • Collaborate closely with our internal partners across the platform and client representatives to develop business opportunities

  • Perform analysis on a broad range of topics related to multi-asset class portfolio construction and asset allocation across public and private markets

  • Investigate and apply technology to drive scale and consistency across portfolio construction processes.

Who are we looking for?

  • Financial market experience: Minimum of 5 years role relevant experience within financial services or asset management is required; good understanding of financial markets. Experience running multi-manager/fund-of-funds/open architecture portfolios is strongly desired

  • Analytical skills: A genuine inclination for quantitative analysis and the skills to work through sophisticated problems and challenges to provide innovative insights. Coding skills and/or knowledge of Aladdin are a plus

  • Problem-solving ability: Ability to deconstruct a larger problem into sub-components and prioritize to help clients find a suitable investment solution. Organized and diligent, able to prioritize and multi-task quickly efficiently, adapting to new situations in a fast-paced environment

  • Collaborative approach: Great teammate who takes a collaborative and cooperative approach and has a positive working attitude

  • Communication skills: Excellent communication skills and ability to explain multifaceted topics to non-technical individuals in writing as well as verbally

  • Intellectual curiosity: Interested in the industry and looking to learn more about asset management, regulatory changes, investment vehicles, and scale across BlackRock
