Job description
We are seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our busy, expanding hospital. The role is full time hours, 12 hour night shifts on a 7 day on 7 day off rolling shift pattern.
We are a busy growing hospital serving our 18 branches across Lincolnshire, with a medical, surgical and orthopaedic caseload. Our nurses are encouraged to make full use of their wide range of skills including Schedule 3 procedures, Nurse consults and be involved in making treatment plans in the hospital.
Salary for this role starts at £30,000.00 but can increase depending on experience.
About Us
Our site at Market Rasen achieved RCVS Tier 3 accreditation in June 2017, with further renovation and expansion planned over the next year.
We provide our own Emergency Out of Hours covered by dedicated night vets and night nurses 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Our hospital is equipped with digital radiography, ultrasonography, endoscopy and separate orthopaedic and dental theatres. We have a large in-house laboratory with dedicated lab technician, and our own cremation service on-site.
About the Team
Our large team works together across our branches to provide the best service for our clients. The hospital team comprises of 4 Veterinary Surgeons, 3 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 3 Student Nurses, 2 Kennel Assistants, and a great team of cleaners, drivers, receptionists and call centre staff. None of us could do our jobs without each other!
Applicant Requirements
We are looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse who is confident to jump right in with routine anaesthesia, radiography, and hospital care e.g. placing IVs, taking bloods, drug calculations and IVFT etc. With the opportunity to get involved with nurse consults, Schedule 3 and more if you'd like! We are looking for someone with good communication skills and a genuine passion for their job.
We have our own nursing college, Rase Veterinary Nursing College, and have SVNs based at our teaching practices across the company. We are therefore looking for someone who would enjoy being a clinical coach and help provide support to their student. Experience of clinical coaching not necessary as we can provide support and training for you in this role, but a friendly, approachable personality is a must.
