Job description
The Care Operations Manager in Learning Disabilities is responsible for overseeing the operational aspects of care services for individuals with learning disabilities and taking on Registered Manager position for the organisation. This role involves managing the day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with regulations, and maintaining high-quality care standards. The Care Operations Manager collaborates with various stakeholders, including care staff, service users, families, and external agencies, to provide effective and person-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Management:
Develop and implement operational strategies and policies to ensure efficient and effective care services.
Monitor and evaluate service delivery, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and guidelines.
Oversee the recruitment, training, and performance management of care staff.
Manage the allocation and scheduling of staff to ensure appropriate staffing levels at all times.
Monitor and control budgets, ensuring resources are utilized effectively.
Quality Assurance:
Maintain high-quality care standards and promote person-centered approaches.
Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Monitor and analyze service user feedback, addressing any concerns or issues promptly.
Implement and review policies and procedures to promote continuous improvement.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
Collaborate with service users, families, and advocates to ensure their needs are met and their voices are heard.
Liaise with external agencies, such as regulatory bodies and local authorities, to maintain positive relationships and meet regulatory requirements.
Act as a point of contact for any escalated concerns or complaints.
Training and Development:
Identify training needs for care staff and facilitate the provision of relevant training programs.
Support the professional development of care staff, providing guidance and coaching as required.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Health and Social Care, Social Work) or equivalent experience.
Extensive experience in managing care services for individuals with learning disabilities.
In-depth knowledge of relevant regulations, standards, and best practices in learning disability care.
Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with stakeholders.
Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and implement improvement measures.
Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
Familiarity with budget management and resource allocation.
Ability to work under pressure and handle challenging situations.

Salary: £46,542.00-£50,759.25 per year
