The Role
Tower Veterinary Centre are looking for an enthusiastic RVN to join their team ideally on a full-time basis.Your role would involve preparing for and monitoring surgical procedures, anaesthesia, imaging and assisting the vets as required and the nurse will administer medications and fluids. There will be preparation of theatres and equipment. We are looking for a nurse to help with high quality care, patient recovery, provide excellent patient records and clear communication with others. We want to maintain and ensure a high level of cleanliness throughout the surgery. There would be organising and ordering for dispensary. The candidate would maybe be keen to pursue nursing clinics within their area of expertise and confidence. There may be some reception work and an opportunity to assist with social media, if desired.
Rota
Working 40 hours over 5 days per week, Monday-Friday between the hours of 8am-7:30pm1:7 Saturdays 9am-4pm
No OOH as we are a Vets Now partner practice so there will be no call outs but sometimes, we have inpatients or emergency admits during the evening surgery requiring care. All extra hours are paid.
Salary
Up to £31,000 negotiable depending on experience.About Us
Tower Veterinary Centre is a single site small animal practice on the outskirts of Perth in Central Scotland. We are currently undergoing extensive refurbishment. This includes new kennels, improved cat ward, imaging suite, new consultation room and refurbishment of the current consult rooms.We are provided with top of the range equipment; our latest purchase is a new state of the art ultrasound. We also boast a super quick digital x-ray, dental x-ray. BP monitor, endoscopes, ECG and in house laboratory.

About the Team and Culture
We have an excellent team of eight experienced vets. The team also consists of three qualified nurses who have been with Tower for over 45 years between them. There are three fantastic animal care assistants who help keep our level of care at the very best standards. We have a great reception team and a practice manager full of ideas and enthusiasm.
Applicant Requirements
A registered RVN with experience would be preferred but all applicants would be considered. We are extremely fortunate to be fully staffed vet-wise and we would excel to another level with an addition of another RVN to complement the Tower team.
