About Us
Northampton is a vibrant town surrounded by beautiful countryside with great transport links to London and Birmingham. Rhodes has been well-established in Northampton since 1958! Across our large premises in Kingsthorpe and our smaller consulting premises in Far Cotton, we have a loyal client base and some very long-standing employees! You will join our team of 4 RVN's and our 2 VCA's, our 4 vets, one of which has a certificate in Medicine and another holds a certificate in imaging and ultrasound, and dedicated reception staff, many of whom have been with Rhodes for years.
Kingsthorpe is a large building, and our large RCVS Tier 2 premises was recently refurbished. With comfortable staff areas (including a Nespresso coffee machine!), large, light, and airy consulting rooms and large waiting areas - separate for cats and dogs. We are well stocked with a brand-new digital x-ray and new dental x-ray, ultrasound, endoscope and in-house lab. We have a large kennel area, dedicated dental suite and large theatre with a multi-parameter machine.
We consider ourselves a small, friendly, and inclusive team. We actively support and encourage well-being, as individuals and as a wider team.
We have regular social events for the whole team, including such things as laser tag, horror mazes and lovely meals out!
Applicant Requirements
We are looking for a qualified Registered Veterinary Nurse who is a proactive team player, able to multi-task, who is approachable and friendly. The successful candidate will be a positive, forward-thinking individual who is as excited as us to take the practice into the future and we are open to new ideas and ways of working. A clinical coach qualification or the willingness to train to be a clinical coach is essential as we are hoping to be able to build on our student nursing side.
