JOB HOLDER’S PRIMARY OBJECTIVES
The primary duty of the Management Accountant is to provide additional capacity to the finance team, supporting the review of P&L accounts and balance sheet reconciliations, filling gaps in responsibility and strengthening processes, before transitioning activities to existing team members.
To provide an effective, efficient and professional support service to all internal and external customers.
RESPONSIBILITIES
In this role we will count on you to:
P&L reviews
- Review cost centre results, conduct variance analysis and prepare summary reports.
- Conduct deep dive analysis on spend different categories, travel, technology, payroll.
- Help to answer queries received by the Corporate FP&A team.
- Prepare journals and ensure adjusting entries are processed as required.
Balance sheet reconciliations
- Manage the process to review all balance sheet reconciliations.
- Ensure all reconciliations are up to date, in the correct format and have the supporting evidence required.
- Fill gaps in responsibility and help to identify team members to take over activities in the longer term.
- Prepare journals and ensure adjusting entries are processed as required.
Compliance activities
- Investigate queries relating to specific country registrations and help to craft responses.
- Support the implementation of the new corporate credit card program.
- Manage activities relating to the Accounts Payable standardisation project as required.
- Oversee the process to set-up a central mailbox to receive remittance advices.
Required Qualifications
- Qualified Accountant
- Previously experience of working with accounting systems and ERP, ideally EBS and Oracle.
- Competency in MS Office, specifically Excel
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Strong understanding of processes and ability to work within a framework to make things happen.
- Analytic with strong academic background
- Structured and organised in their approach and able to manage projects.
- Must be a team player, willing to step into the wider team roles when required.
- A good communicator and collaborate effectively with a broad range of non-financial staff.
