Job description
We are looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join the friendly and supportive team at the practice near Letchworth Garden City.
This is a full time permanent position working 40 hours over 5 days per week and a share of the Saturday rota. Depending on your allocated task area you will start anytime from 7:30am with inpatients and admits to 10:00am for as part of the 'late' team; the duty shift starts at 4:00pm and works through until 10pm (no phones).
The team of nurses work across all disciplines and nursing activities. These will include nurse consultations, medical nursing, diagnostics inc. radiography and laboratory work, anaesthesia, and inpatient care; in addition to assisting veterinary surgeons during procedures and consultations/visits. Nurses will have responsibility for a set task area each day: theatre, inpatient, duty, consulting but the teamwork together to cover all aspects and care provision.
This is a well-established RCVS accredited practice with a good reputation and bonded clients, many of whom have pets registered on their Healthcare Plan. They have 4 consultation rooms including 1 designated for nurses, large waiting room, wrap around dispensary, dog kennel and cat cage areas (not exclusive). They have a reputable and knowledgeable team of 8 veterinary surgeons, 8 registered veterinary nurses and 1 student nurse. In addition, they have a Practice Manager who is also a qualified veterinary nurse along with their supportive team of receptionists.
Salary and benefits:
Salary up to £29,000 depending on experience
6.6 weeks annual leave
