Job Description
Hybrid Veterinary Surgeon – Northampton Hospital
Part and Full Time Oppourtunities
Are you wanting to work remotely, yet still be part of an experienced and friendly team in a brand new, state of the art small animal hospital?
The hybrid vet role is a brand new opportunity within our current team, and the majority of your ‘working week' will be hybrid working. This means that day to day you will be in more of a ‘tele medicine’ based remotely; where you are making an initial diagnosis of patients, and where required referring cases into our hospital, or prescribing medication ( under the guidelines of the new “Under Our Care” regulations).
We are also happy to support some time working in the hospital - on consults, surgery or both, if you would like to explore this in addition to the remote working or looking for support in returning to work after a career break.
We are open to a flexible way of working – you can choose shift times and working patterns to suit your needs/ life outside of work. We can offer a part time or full time role to applicants, and are open to it being a job-share role. The ideal candidate would be required to undertake some weekend work on site at the hospital – this would be working with other vets on site, fully supported and we can discuss this aspect to the role/ hours further as needed.
Our Northampton hospital is purpose-built and boasts 3 theatres, a large colleague area with coffee machine and air fryer, a quiet room, 4 wards with CASCO heated kennels, 10 consulting rooms, bedrooms for OOH colleagues, and an outside quiet grass area to sit and enjoy your breaks (when working on site.)
We have an excellent team already in place with 14 Vets, 18 RVN’s and an incredible support team- totally a team over 60! Many who also have certificates, and specialisations. We are looking for the right team personality, as well as clinical ability!
