Veterinary Surgeon
Anglesey Pet Clinic, Holyhead
Up to £60,000 DOE, up to £5,000 Relocation Allowance plus benefits

Join our team at Anglesey Pet Clinic

We are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our close-knit team at Anglesey Pet Clinic. You will have the opportunity to work up cases with good case continuity and support is available if required. You will have access to a varied caseload that ranges from the standard (vaccinations, microchipping, neutering, dentals, in-house laboratory, X-ray interpretation pet passports, pregnancy diagnosis with ultrasound, hip and elbow scoring, PAT dog assessments), to more specialist services and treatments, such as chemotherapy, echocardiograms, ECG, video endoscope and bronchoscope for non-invasive investigations and advanced surgeries.

Rota patterns that work for you

Our people are at the heart of everything that we do, that’s why we know that work-life balance is vital in supporting our people to be their best selves. Our flexible approach to rota patterns and working hours offers a balance that truly flexes with you and your lifestyle no matter what stage you are in your career. We can offer both full time and part time working options. Typically a full time Vet will work 4 days per week (9am-6.30pm) plus a share in our Saturday morning rota (currently 1 in 3) and a share in the weekend and evening in-patient rota. Our emergency out of hours is undertaken by Vets Now, though we continue to look after in-patients.

Our practice

The Anglesey Pet Clinic is a small animal veterinary surgery located just 5 minutes from the beach in Anglesey and a 45 minute drive from the Snowdonia Mountains. We have an established loyal client base. Our equipment is extensive and includes modern IDEXX in-house laboratory (catalyst, procyte, sedivue, ua analyser), digital AGFA CR X-ray, video endoscope and bronchoscope, colour Doppler ultrasound with ECG, tonopen and a slit lamp.
