The Role

At Academy Vets we are proud to be a truly mixed, practice. We have a friendly team of 10 vets who have the pleasure of being responsible for providing an excellent service to all creatures great and small in beautiful Wigtownshire.

No day at Academy Vets is ever the same, all our vets are mixed practitioners but there is always an opportunity to be able to pursue individual passions. Day to day duties include providing the best possible care to all our patients an excellent service to our valued farm, small and equine clients. From consulting to calvings or from small animal surgery to proactive dairy herd health, we have it all!

Salary and Rota

Hours of work: Monday - Friday 08:30 - 18:00. In addition, an equal share of our excellent OOH rota which covers evenings and weekends.

Salary for the role is up to £63,000 depending on experience.

About Us

About the Team and Culture

We have 10 veterinary Surgeons all supported by a team of 3 RNV, 3 Nursing assistants and 5 admin staff. One of our Clinical Directors holds a CertAVP cattle. We are such a friendly bunch who welcome new recruits with open arms. Everyone is encouraged to get involved with socialising out of hours in activities such as running, paddle boarding, rugby or a simple chat to unwind after work. We are massive supporters of MND Scotland following the loss of a colleague and regularly raise money for this charity close to our heart.

Any level of experience considered. MRCVS requirement. Enthusiastic, hardworking candidate with a can-do attitude.
