Part Time Veterinary Receptionist Administrator

£11.35ph plus benefits

Vets Now are the UK’s leading provider of emergency pet care, providing a trusted service to more than 1400 veterinary practices – from 58 dedicated out-of-hours clinics and three 24/7 pet emergency hospitals. You will be joining a dedicated team of Vets, Nurses, Animal Care Assistants, Receptionists in our Wrexham clinic.

Be the face of our emergency and critical care service in our Wrexham clinic

Our Receptionists are often the first point of contact when a client calls or arrives at a Vets Now Clinic. Our Reception teams greet clients, take calls, and handle financial transactions. You will also be responsible for handling administration duties accurately. You will provide our Vets and Nurses with vital updates about patients on the way to the clinic, or clients that may need assistance. Our Receptionists are a friendly face and listening ear when our clients need it most.

As the clinic administrator you will report to the Head Nurse and focus on the performance of clinic administrative tasks and meeting administrative deadlines. You will prepare and execute weekly banking tasks, maintenance and surveillance of petty cash records, petty cash float and till cash float. You will also follow-up on unpaid accounts, complete insurance claims and manage filing of clinic paper records. You will be responsible for the accuracy and timely completion of clinic administrative duties overall.

Working pattern

We are looking for a skilled receptionist and administrator with a genuine passion for people and animals that can commit to the following two-week rolling rota pattern:

Week 1: Monday from 16:00 to 21:00, Tuesday from 18:30 to 22:30, Saturday from 12:00 to 19:00, and Sunday from 13:00 to 20:00

Week 2: Monday from 16:00 to 18:30, Wednesday from 18:30 to 22:30, Thursday from 18:30 to 22:30 and Friday from 18:30 to 22:30

Plus, a fair share of bank holidays.
