Job description
Veterinary care assistants are important members of today’s modern veterinary team. They work alongside veterinary surgeons and veterinary nurses to provide vital nursing care, ensuring that the wellbeing of small animal patients is paramount.
First of all, no two days are the same, and that is what makes this work exciting! As part of your role you may be involved in:
- Inpatient care
- Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness in kennel areas.
- Assisting Nurses & Vet
- Laundry
- Stocking of kennel consumables
- Supporting the Principals with new initiatives as required
- Adhering to all SOP’s
- Communicating with clients effectively & maintaining a high professional standard of customer service and care
There will be the opportunity to go on to apprenticeship training for the right candidate.
Qualifications are not necessary for this position, but a willingness to work hard and some experience with animals is ESSENTIAL.
On site training will be provided.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Salary: £7.50-£10.45 per hour
