Job Description
FRIENDLY, FUN, SUPER ORGANISED, PROCEDURE LOVING VETERINARY CARE ASSISTANT REQUIRED
Are you an empathetic, extremely well organised, energetic and fun animal lover that enjoys looking after people as much as they do their pets? Would you like to join a fun, enthusiastic, high energy team that deliver outstanding client service and compassionate pet care? Curious to learn something new every day and grow as a person?
Who are we?
We are a growing veterinary practice in Dunfermline that provides our pet owning clients with a truly outstanding service and focus on keeping pets happy and healthy. We differ from the rest because we offer the personal touch. Our clients know us, and we know them. Our commitment to our clients is to make sure we provide them with an outstanding level of service so they know what do and when to keep their pets happy and healthy, are seen on time, are always met with a friendly smile and their pets look forward to their visits. We are now in a very exciting position where we are looking to add another veterinary care assistant to our team. The role has the possibility for progression to obtain your Veterinary Nursing qualification so the successful candidate must hold the suitable entry qualifications.
The role?
This is a diverse role that is physically demanding, mentally challenging, highly rewarding, thought provoking and one where you’ll experience moments of joy and happiness as well as occasional moments of sadness. One moment you’ll be answering our very busy phones, booking a puppy or kitten vaccine and explaining the benefits of preventative pet care to help our clients’ pets live longer, happier, healthier lives, the next you’ll be getting an in patient ready to go home on time while remembering to run a blood test from a patient you helped to get the sample from 10 minutes earlier. There is always lots to do so you’ll need to be super organised, extremely efficient and follow our protocols carefully.
Key duties will include:
There is no out of hours work with exclusive company discounts and rewards. You will get 28 days holiday including bank holidays. We offer a company pension.
We want our colleagues to be as diverse as our clients. Our teams are inclusive and celebrate difference so if you meet our role requirements, we’d love to hear from you.
