Veterinary Surgeon
We Are Looking For You!
Pet House Vets
in North Birmingham are Sustainable and Proudly Independed Vets, opened just under 2 years ago, actively developing and expanding. We provide exceptional veterinary care and dearly look after our staff members as well as our patients!
Due to further Big Plans of Expansion, we are excited to offer the below positions:
1. Full Time Veterinary Surgeon with min of 6 years experience. 5 days a week mon- friday on rota 10:30-6:30 or 8:30-4:30; mix of consultations and surgeries, inpatients care, place to expand your interests, case follow ups, £1250 CPD allowance. Salary depends on experience , £55-£70k per annum DOE, 6 weeks holidays (incl BH)
2. New or Recent Grad Veterinary Surgeon - 5 days per week with Saturdays on Rota. variety of cases, surgeries and plenty of support and VetGDP in place. Salary depending on your experience, starts from £35k per annum, 5.6weeks holidays to start with.
3. Part time Veterinary Surgeon, 3 days a week (Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays), as a supporting vet, mix of consultations and surgeries, picking up the overflow/random emergencies, inpatients care. Salary starts at £45k per annum, 17 days of holidays (incl BH). Ideally min 5 years experience required and sole charge ability.
3. Weekend and Bank Holidays Only Veterinary Surgeon.
To work Saturdays and Sundays & BH 8:30pm-6:30pm, Must be confident sole charge, emergency appointments from 12pm saturday onwards. Salary DOE, starts from 40k per annum, 12 days holidays per year.
4. Nigth Vet - 5 nights on/ 9 nights off
Start on Friday night until Wednesday morning, then you have 9 nights off. Hours are 6pm till 8:45am. We have reclining sofa in staff room, you can nap on it when you finish evening consults, usually around midnight, and if there are no inpatients. 6 weeks holidays plus cpd allowance £1250. Salary DOE, starting from £50k per annum. Start date - November/December.

An independent, newly renovated 2 bed apartment (pets allowed) with fully equipped new kitchen and bathroom, can be provided as benefit in kind for any of this positions (first come first serve)

About the premisses:
The Practice has spacious dog and seperate cat waiting area, dedicated pharmacy, dog groomers, 3 consultation rooms, staff room/kitchen with large table and reclining sofa, separate dental/dirty procedure room with all necessary dental instruments and machines, sterile theater where we perform not only routines, but also variety of soft tissue procedures, from TECA, BOAS, all emergency surgeries to orthopaedics. 2 ultrasounds machines, cat and seperate dog kennels, spacious prep room and Digital X-ray. We have well equipped laboratory with Idexx higherst standard haematology and biochemistry machines, microscope, we perform lots of scrapes and swabs in house, but we also work with 2 external laboratories.

Our Practice is situated near residencial areas of Perry Common, that is in North Birmingham, just under Sutton Coldfield.
Near by us, in a walking distance, we have Witton Lakes Park and several smaller parks, within 12 mins drive we have beautiful Sutton Park to North and Aston Park to South.
Outstanding primary school is just across to our premisses as well as several nurseries. There are several houses to let or to buy in near area.
We are pets and family friendly practice and we will make sure your job coordinates with your private life instead of taking the first place. Our manager has years of experience in HR work and is always keen to help and make everything work. We believe the communication is the key.
