Veterinary Surgeon

Haven Vets have a fantastic opportunity for a first opinion, small animal vet to work across their two practices. Duties include conducting routine and complex consultations, surgical procedures, and diagnostic investigations. The perfect candidate for the role will be confident in the above, and be willing to put animal care at the heart of everything they do. The successful candidate will work 2 days per week at our Alpha Vets site and two days at our Haven Vets site, giving you a fantastic chance to work with different caseloads.Working week will consist of four days 8:30 am – 6 pm with a 1-hour lunch break. The weekend rota is currently 1:8 but may change. There will be no out of hours.
State-of-the-art equipment and a supportive team
Our Haven Vets site is part of a four-practice group, based near the beautiful Welsh coast with Alpha vets near Burry Port facing the Harbour. Transport routes are easily accessible from both sites and we have excellent facilities including; separate cat and dog kennels, a diagnostic area, isolation area, two theatres, endoscope, laparoscope, ultrasound, tonopen, laser machine, xray machine, full in house laboratory machines. Haven Vets is currently undergoing renovations so we can expand the services we offer to our loyal clients.Across the group we have 12 vets, 9 registered veterinary nurses, 3 student veterinary nurses, 2 animal nursing assistants and 15 support staff. Our people have a wealth of experience and can offer excellent support across the board. We have certificate holders in surgery and diagnostics.
