Venue Manager – Castle Social, Norwich Norwich, England
Job description
Hours: Full time 40 hours per week (including evenings and weekends)
Salary: £30,000 plus performance bonus
Reporting to: Estates Manager
Location: Castle Quarter, Norwich
The Venue:
Castle Social is a successful street food venue within Norwich City Centre, a food, beverage and entertainment destination with a communal seating area and a full calendar of weekly and speciality entertainment.
Key Duties:
- Oversee and manage the bar, food production and venue teams.
- Manage all routine operations and logistics at the venue, including the application and enforcement of the management regulations and general facilities management.
- Lead a team of hospitality staff and work with third-party suppliers such as security and maintenance services to deliver expected operational and customer experience standards.
- Manage all aspects of Health and Safety across the estate
- Be the first point of contact for vendors at Castle Social.
- Working with the senior management team; plan, organise and deliver a programme of events throughout the year.
- Plan and organise a weekly schedule of entertainment in the designated event spaces.
- Working with the regional team, undertake promotion and marketing for the venue.
- Ensure the delivery of the venue to set budgets, ensuring accurate and timely information is provided for the account’s department.
- Develop and maintain relationships with a community of small businesses, aiding in their development and growth and sustaining clear and effective communication channels.
- To act as a keyholder and be on-call as required.
About You:
We work with some of the best street food traders, and a passion for good food, and promoting good food is a must.
We also work regularly with a wide range of small businesses, with varying levels of social media and marketing skills. Experience dealing with small business owners would be a benefit.
A love of food, entertainment and independent businesses is at our core, so we’d love for you to share in those passions, in addition to being well-organised, driven and customer-focused.
The ideal candidate would:
● Have experience in managing a team.
● Be customer service focused and passionate about delivering a high-quality customer experience.
● Have the ability to communicate effectively.
● Have experience in hospitality and leisure, ideally in a management role.
● Be confident with social media, taking photos and communicating with customers.
● Be willing to apply yourself to a range of operational and management challenges
● Be flexible and able to work on evenings, weekends and bank holidays as required.
● Be passionate about food retail and catering and dedicated to supporting small businesses to deliver the highest quality offering.
● Be able to work to targets to deliver key objectives within set timescales.
● Have a positive attitude, with the ability to think outside the box to solve problems as they arise.
