Venue Manager

Venue Manager Brierley Hill, England

Frankie & Lola's Ltd
Full Time Brierley Hill, England 35000 GBP ANNUAL Today
Job description

Frankie + Lola's is a rapidly growing UK Soft Play and Cafe brand. Our mission is to become the UK's first national chain in this sector, setting new standards and becoming the best at what we do. As an expanding company, there are many opportunities within our team for ambitious and dynamic individuals to thrive and grow with us.

We are looking for a self-motivated, goal-oriented Venue Manager to lead our team, and together with that team take the business to new successes and heights.

As the senior manager on-site, you will be directly responsible for all aspects of that site’s operations, including;

  • Strict adherence to all organisation policies and legislation and committing yourself and your team to a first-class standard of service across the board.
  • Developing and managing relationships with key internal and external stakeholders including customers, staff, local government, community representatives and the wider senior management team.
  • Oversight of all colleagues on site, including customer facing venue team members and the kitchen team. You may be assisted in this task by a small team of supervisors.
  • Recruiting, training, and developing a high calibre team to assist you in growing the business is a key priority in this role.
  • Evaluating performance and productivity and developing and implementing appropriate strategies to maximise the output of the unit.
  • Proactively researching and identifying growth opportunities within the business and implementing strategies accordingly.
  • Generating reports and becoming a passionate advocate for the success of your team.
  • Maintaining constant accountability for your key performance indicators to the senior management team and the Managing Director.

What we look for in an excellent Venue Manager;

  • Previous experience in retail or hospitality management is essential. Any candidates with a background in food and beverage operations will have an advantage in this role.
  • Management experience in our sector, or a similar field, is preferable but not essential.
  • A sales oriented mindset combined with a desire to provide a fun and engaging atmosphere for customers and staff alike.
  • Strong leadership qualities are a must in this role, with a proven track record in building and maintaining successful, productive, and happy teams.
  • Excellent communication skills are required to communicate effectively with a wide variety of customers, from all backgrounds.
  • Highly analytical mindset required to be able to observe patterns and spot opportunities.
  • Outstanding organisational skills are a key requirement, to consistently deliver on adherence to policies and legislative requirements and to effectively manage the finances of the unit.
  • A keen attention to detail is required, again, to ensure that the safety and wellbeing of our customers and staff remain the number one priority on site.
  • Proactive, self-starters thrive in our business – as a growing business, there is plenty of opportunity to contribute meaningfully not only to the growth of your unit, but also to the wider company. Venue Managers have a voice within the wider company and are encouraged to participate at all levels.
  • Your ability to work weekends is essential to the operation of the business. Our managers typically make up for this with mid-week days off, an uncommon benefit in a traditional 9-5 role.
  • General technological literacy is preferable, we use a number of software applications in the running of our business. Examples include Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, Teams and SharePoint.

How we reward the right candidate:

  • £35,000 basic starting salary
  • OTE of £35-40,000 in line with the venue KPI targets being exceeded
  • Staff discount on entry as well as food and beverages
  • Offered the platform to develop, grow and excel in an organisation that is continually growing
