We provide our clients with sustainable, reliable and cost-effective transport solutions, linking the major economic areas in Europe with more than 125 sailings per week. CLdN Ports in the UK own and operate RoRo terminals on the Humber (Killingholme) and Thames (Purfleet).

CLdN Ports wish to recruit a number of Drivers to provide support to our Vehicle Movements Department. The ideal candidate’s will have a flexible, professional and pro-active approach to work.

Your role

  • Discharge and backload of vessels, driving cars, vans, tractor units, chassis and ad hoc vehicles including plant machinery. Full training will be provided for all vehicles
  • Driving and locating a variety of multi fuel and electric vehicles with both manual and automatic transmissions.
  • Scanning of vehicles to locations
  • You will undertake marshalling duties to ensure that drivers are aware of vehicle locations.
  • Load building and ensuring vehicles are pulled in a timely manner in preparation for collection.
  • Completing vehicle quality checks and report any damage completing the relevant paperwork and liaising with appropriate departments.
  • You will be required to undertake terminal housekeeping including litter picking and line marking duties.

  • You must be a self-motivated individual
  • You must have high attention to detail
  • Good time-keeping is essential
  • You must be able to work within a team.
  • A flexible approach to work is necessary
  • Must be willing to undertake any duties that may arise to contribute to the day-to-day running of department
  • You will hold a Full UK Manual driving licence for at least 12 months, any endorsement will be assessed on a case by case.
  • Due to the requirement to drive a minibus and associated insurance cover, applicants must be aged 25 or over.
