Job description
Tom's Motors are currently recruiting for an Experienced Vehicle Mechanic/Technician (Level 3 minimum) in there newly refurbed premises on Middleton Road, Chadderton.
Hours – Full time Monday to Friday 08.30-5.30
Saturday 08.30 to 12.30 (negotiable)
Must be flexible in busy periods
Day-to-day duties
· Carrying out servicing, repairs and maintenance to high standards.
· Inspecting vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurately, using computer-based diagnostic equipment.
· Repairing or replacing broken or defective parts and resolving defects.
· Road testing vehicles to check repairs.
· Carrying out DVSA vehicle testing (not mandatory but willing to learn)
Essential skills
· Qualified to NVQ level 3 with solid work experience in the automotive industry.
· Ability to work in a competent and efficient manner on your own.
· Strong communication skills.
· Good attention to detail.
· The ability to carry out work to high standards to deadlines.
· A proactive and enthusiastic approach.
· Ability to accurately follow written and spoken instructions.
· A full, clean driving licence
· Own tools essential
