Delivery Driver - Lings Suffolk Triumph, Ipswich, IP4 5TH.
As a Lings Motor Group vehicle Delivery Driver you will be welcomed into our family owned and managed team, you will receive training in company processes and our customer care, to ensure you are able to provide the high levels of service and care that we are associated with. Suitable candidates must be passionate about customer service, be self-motivated to be part of our highly successful team, have great time managment and also be competent working alone.
This position will guarantee a minimum 40 hours per week, averaged over the course of each month. Due to the nature of the job, destination distance and customer requirements daily working hours may differ to that of the company's branch opening hours of 8:30am to 17:30pm. Schedules for such deliveries are created and confirmed to give as much notice as possible. Any additional hours will be paid at the hourly rate.
The Lings Motor Group - Motorcycle Department supplies many top-valued brands which are consistently high ranked among the world, including Triumph, Husqvarna and Gas Gas, we also have a huge selection of other franchised used motorcycles within our 5 site company too . Suffolk Triumph is a main dealer for Triumph Motorcycles, it also hosts a wide range of preowned non franchise motorcycles.
Main Purpose of Job:
- To transport products to our nationwide customers.
- To transport products between internal branches.
- To ensure the highest standard of courtesy and efficiency in customer contact and communication.
- To regularly complete and record the delivery vehicle's safety checklists.
- To record all journeys on the company's transport record sheet.
- To maintain and assist in the appearance and safety of the delivery vehicle.
- To carryout any additional tasks deemed necessary for the smooth running and safety of the business.
Applicant’s requirements:
- To be impeccable in appearance and personal hygiene.
- Be a good communicator and have great interaction skills.
- You must be highly motivated and have a determination to succeed.
- You must be well organised and be able to manage your time.
- You must hold a valid full UK driving licence with no more than 3 points, a clean motorcycle licence would be beneficial.
- To have previous experience with the transportation of products nationwide.
- To be able to safely and competently manoeuvre and handle motorcycles.
- To be flexible regarding working hours
