Van Driver/Warehouse Operative Glasgow, Scotland
Job description
We are looking to recruit a VAN Driver / Drivers Mate (hgv) to play a key role in assisting our Delivery Drivers in the delivery of food and drinks to fast food restaurants throughout Scotland, providing a prompt and professional service to customers.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Arrival by the start time and assist in the loading of vehicles and general sorting of the orders
- Assist in accurate checking of items out for delivery with the manifest.
- Delivering the goods into the customers premises in a professional manner, (involves heavy lifting & hand balling)
- Checking orders with the customer for accuracy against delivery notes and reporting discrepancies immediately
- Unload the Vehicle at the end of the shift of any equipment/returns.
- Assisting as a Drivers Mate for our HGV Drivers
- Driving a Sprinter van making deliveries when required.
- Working in the warehouse when required.
Personal Specification
- Good time keeping
- Customer service skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
- Previous experience in parcel delivery/distribution work
- Be flexible
- Have warehouse and drivers mate experience (Although not essential)
- Be able to provide a work related references
