Job description
Work involves collecting unsold stock from charity retail. Driving 3.5t vehicle
- Drivers will make between 6 and 10 prearranged calls a day (average 7)
- Work times Monday-Friday 8.30am - 5.30pm
- Uniform supplied.
- Your route will be preplanned for you and will be similar each week.
- You bring the collection back to base and a manager will instruct you where to unload.
Your responsibility
- You will arrive for work punctually
- You will treat customers and suppliers with respect
- You will complete basic paper records of your days collections
- You will work with other staff and encourage teamwork
- You will carry out daily van checks and will keep the van clean and tidy.
Wage and hours
- You will work a 40 hour week
- Occasional overtime.
Requirements and experience
- Minimum 2 years full UK driving licence
- Maximum 3 points
- No DR10 or similar
- Local resident (please don't apply if you don't live within traveling distance)
- Repeated lifting involved so you must be physically fit.
- ABOVE ALL you should have a "can do" attitude
- Basic understanding of maths (calculator) required.
