Mitch Building Services is a leading construction and renovation company based in the United Kingdom. We have been operating for 15+ years and have built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality and complex renovation projects for residential and commercial properties across Scotland.
We are currently seeking a Van Driver/Material procurement person to join our team.
As a Van Driver at Mitch Building Services, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting a variety of construction and renovation materials to and from different job sites. The ideal candidate will have experience driving different sizes of vans, as well as a basic knowledge of construction and renovation materials. You must also be very organized and able to plan your routes and deliveries in a timely and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transporting construction and renovation materials to and from different job sites
- Loading and unloading materials from the van
- Ensuring that all materials are transported safely and securely
- Maintaining the cleanliness and general upkeep of the van
- Planning routes and deliveries in a timely and efficient manner
- Communicating with the construction team and other staff members as needed
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Previous experience driving different sizes of vans
- Basic knowledge of construction and renovation materials (Plasterboard, flooring, etc)
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to plan routes and deliveries
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
