JOB PURPOSE To be responsible for the sport and recreation service at Porthmadog Park.

RESPONSIBILITY FOR RESOURCES
(e.g. staff, finance, equipment) Responsible for equipment relevant to the work, money and goods.

MAIN DUTIES AND KEY TASKS• Responsibility for the recreation service which includes the crazy golf and the golf area.

Responsible for taking payment from members of the public who are using the facilities.
Opening and closing of the site.
Safeguard the site whilst open and collaborate with security officers / Police to deal with unacceptable behaviour.
Report any instances of unacceptable / antisocial behaviour to the line manager and Police when relevant.
Keeping the site clean and tidy by emptying litter bins and litter picking.
Responsibility for self-development.
Ensure compliance with Health and Safety rules in the workplace in accordance with the responsibilities noted in the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and the Council’s Health and Safety Policy.
Operate within the Council’s policies and procedures in relation to equal opportunities and equality.
Responsibility for information management in accordance with the Council’s information management standards and guidelines. Ensure that personal information is handled in compliance with Data Protection legislation
The above list of duties is only an outline. The post holder will be expected to undertake any other duties relevant to the nature and scale of the post, in accordance with reasonable requests from the Line Manager.

SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES (e.g. the need to work unsociable hours, special working arrangements, etc.)There will be a need to work weekends.The post holder will be required to work outside normal working hours to respond to the service needs and emergencies.
