Job description
Vanguard Rail Solutions is looking for an experienced web designer who is enthusiastic about user experience, minimalistic designs, and usability.
Role:
You will work alongside our development lead and project manager to design our new web application ensuring in a functional, responsive, user-friendly, and intuitive manner. You will be primarily focused on creating new designs, and redoing old designs from scratch, as well as occasionally improving the experience of existing designs.
Responsibilities
- Working with the Development Lead and Project Manager to determine the best designs for each page
- Creating new designs for non-existing pages
- Redesigning older designs from scratch
- Adjusting and improving the experience on existing designs
- Considering all requirements and designing as to future proof the site and allow easy creation of mobile-versions that do not restrict the usability and functionality of the site.
- Asking the right questions and communicating effectively to prevent redesigns and missing features from the designs
- Creating graphics and icons where needed and communication with your colleagues to ensure they fit the wanted style
- Providing concepts / wire-frames of your idea and discussing with colleagues before moving onto the full design
Requirements/Experience:
- At least 4 years of experience with web-design / UI/UX design
- Experienced in software such as Adobe XD (preferred) Figma, or similar tools
- Experience in graphics illustration tools such as the Adobe Creative Cloud suite or similar tools
- Previous experience creating designs for web-applications
- Experience designing responsive websites and web-applications to support as many devices as possible
- A portfolio showcasing previous work ideally with more than one example of a web-application
