Overview

Abacus is a developer of SaaS cloud-based solutions for the Media sector. We have designed and developed some of the country’s biggest and most successful business to business websites.

We are looking for a junior to midweight UI/UX designer. In the current environment Abacus is working remotely.

Abacus is a subsidary of Naviga Global one of the world's leading media software companies.


The role

This is a multi-disciplinary role that will see you interacting with key teams across the company encompassing product development, client on-boarding, and customer success. You will work alongside the Head of UI/UX as part of the Innovation Team.

The role offers great exposure to a wide range of B2B and B2C clients in the Media sector using our SaaS platform to deliver great products to their audiences, as well as the in-depth product development of the platform itself.

  • On-boarding new clients – ensuring our client’s brand translates to our award-winning platform
  • Product development – working with our developers to constantly improve our products UI and UX
  • Customer success – working with our clients to ensure they make best use of the products to deliver their business goals – focusing on the user journeys and UX of the system

About you

We are looking for a dynamic and self-motivated designer.

  • 2+ years of experience designing for digital products – ideally across both websites and cloud-based software products
  • Your portfolio will demonstrate high quality UI and strong visual design skills
  • Ideally, you will have had experience with product design and UX
  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • You effectively communicate your design decisions and ideas.
  • You enjoy working in a self-organised manner
  • You enjoy working in a team and directly with clients
  • You are eager to keep learning and improving your skills and processes.
  • You have excellent attention to detail

It would be an advantage if any of the following apply.

  • Experience designing the UI/UX of cloud-based software
  • Experience working with the Media / Business / Member organisation (Institute / society/ higher education) information sector
  • Experience of conducting research with analytics tools such as the Google Suite
  • An understanding of how the UI is delivered with HTML / CSS and how these interact with the visual layer
  • E-commerce – checkout UX
  • Expertise in Figma
