UX/UI Designer London, England

Mumbli
Full Time London, England 40000 - 60000 GBP ANNUAL Today
Job description

Mumbli is on a mission to allow everybody to be heard.

We want to transform social spaces so that everyone can hear and be heard while they work, meet and date. We want to change how society interacts with sound at the intersection of hearing health, social spaces and technology.

Our goal is for acoustic performance to be an integral part of the design of every social space across the globe. We picture a world where looking after your ears is just as important as cleaning your teeth, exercising or looking after your mental health. And we also believe everybody deserves to hear and be heard when they socialise.

We are developing a Hearing Wellness ecosystem powered by on-site IoT devices and the next phase involves installing 30 IoT devices in public spaces across London that allow us to collect data on sound in real time. We already have some really exciting partnerships, including the Olympic Park, and have ambitious plans for 2023.

Mumbli is looking for a talented UX/UI Designer to contribute to our next phase of development. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking for a role that offers plenty of progression. As one of the first Engineers to join our team, this role is best suited for someone who enjoys working on a variety of challenges, is a self starter, and who would like to manage a team in the near future.

It would be great if you had:

  • MSc in Computer Science or similar would be beneficial
  • 2 years commercial design experience with web applications
  • A connection to our mission in some way
  • Familiarity with interaction design and information architecture
  • Good experience with design software (e.g. UXPin, Invision, Figma)
  • Knowledge of HTML/CSS; JavaScript would be beneficial
  • Background in project management and research
  • Problem-solving aptitude
  • Analytical mind with startup readiness

Some reasons it is great to be at Mumbli:

  • Be part of a company looking to make the world a better place
  • We are based in an Accelerator, in Shoreditch, which provides a great space to work, and plenty of networking opportunities
  • We offer a really flexible approach to working, we like to work together in person, but that isn’t always possible so work from where you feel most comfortable
  • Generous equity package is available

At Mumbli, we know outstanding results occur when unique individuals from diverse backgrounds come together. We welcome candidates from every community, and treat every employee equally, and fairly regardless of age, disability, gender, marital status, race, religion, or sexual orientation. It is essential that each of our team members feels confident, comfortable, and empowered.

Note to recruitment agencies: Mumbli is committed to building a long-term approach to our hiring strategy, we are therefore already working in partnership with a selected talent partner. We, therefore, ask you to hold off sending speculative CVs or sales approaches through this email.
