Research is a critical role that informs, inspires and ensures we are exceeding our customers’ expectations and leading the market. Our team provide research expertise and capabilities in face to face, remote and in situ. We provide exploratory, inspirational and evaluative research for ad hoc, partner recruited, customer panel and domestic and international audiences of varying abilities.

Our key areas are:

• Communication: We demonstrate an ability to represent the value and power of research in simple language to non-practitioners
• Research Planning: We exhibit experience and comfort with shaping, planning, leading and delivering a variety of research initiatives
• Collaboration: We demonstrate an ability to work well with diverse, multi- disciplinary teams
• Business development experience, working on bids, pitches and pipelines

Connect to your skills and professional experience

• A strong background in ethnographic fieldwork is important
• Working knowledge of 'Experience Management' software, such as 'Qualtrics', 'Survey Monkey', 'Userlytics', or similar
• Experience working alongside/leading project delivery teams in an Agile environment, with a view to understand customer behaviours, needs and motivations
• Experience delivering ideas, initiatives or activities to make a business better (e.g. positively impacting culture, increasing profitability, building strategic relationships or contributing to strategic business decisions)
• Demonstrable qualitative or quantitative human-centred research methods
• Demonstrable exploratory research that uncovers opportunities for more desirable service experiences and evaluative research that guides development teams towards easy-to-use solutions
• Demonstrate stakeholder management skills
• Continuously learn through self-development and feed your passion for design, engagement, technology and research
• A mix of consulting and in-house experience, preferably within a Regulated environment and particularly around Government Digital Standards (GDS) are a plus

Personal independence

Regulation and controls are standard practice in our industry and Deloitte is no exception. These controls provide important legal protection for both you and the firm. We are subject to a number of audit regulations, one of which requires that certain colleagues abide by specific personal independence constraints. This can mean that you and your "Immediate Family Members" are not permitted to hold certain financial interests (shares, funds, bonds etc.) with audit clients of the firm. The recruitment team will provide further detail as you progress through the recruitment process.

Location: The home office for this role can be London or any of our regional UK offices. We do require someone that can travel occasionally to our London HQ.
