About the Role:
We are looking for a UX designer to join our recently formed Digital Strategy Team, reporting to the Head of Digital Product Design and User Experience. A UX designer that collaborates and operates using a user-centric approach, continuously optimizes the quality and value of the outputs, and measures and monitors the outcomes’ impact.
You’ll be working on regional and global initiatives, with teams and stakeholders at various LSM offices and locations; also, in conjunction and collaboration with our wider Liberty Mutual Group colleagues, leveraging our global reach, expertise, and assets.
As UX designer you’ll be responsible for designing user experience solutions and capabilities across new and existing digital channels, platforms, and ecosystems. Creating and implementing robust digital propositions that engage users and scale demand.
In this role, you’ll plan, facilitate, and assess experience discovery and ideation activities to define and design the required UX deliverables: user flows, journey maps, persona development, business results, objectives, and priorities alignment, wireframes, UI considerations, prototypes, user testing and research, technical feasibility alignment, optimization tests, and more according to UX best practices and as relevant to the experience, digital, and business strategies.

We provide brokers and insureds with a broad product range through both the Company and Lloyd’s markets.
The Digital Strategy Team has been established to create value by discovering and defining the right digital capabilities that augment and optimise LSM’s digital products and services across the value chain, working with as teams of teams to seamlessly integrate these ecosystems, and provide exceptional user experience for our external and internal customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Make strategic and tactical design and user experience decisions related to functions, interactions, and features.- Identify design problems and devise elegant, modular, scalable, feasible solutions.
- Lead iteration cycles with stakeholders and push designs forward according to the team’s vision and understanding of the business goals.
- Operate with a user-centred design approach and rapidly test and iterate your designs, analysing adoption, usability goals and business success metrics.
- Participate, organise, and lead design meetings; communicate openly and frequently with teams and stakeholders.
- Plan and work with the team on a plan to deliver the relevant and prioritised design outputs and ensure these are met as agreed.
- Maintain and build design workflows that ensure that designs and experiences are in line with LSM standards and style guides. Produce and use design patterns, components and artifacts that consider the current and newest application techniques.
- Translate concepts into wireframes, mock-ups, and prototypes that lead to intuitive user experiences and facilitate the product vision.
- Be a UX advocate who collaborates with multiple teams in expanding mastery of the business goals with each design request, supported with impactful UX/UI proposals.
- Always put the user first and drive exceptional customer experiences across our product portfolio. Think function, interaction, look and feel.
- Promote and cultivate knowledge-sharing and leverage our global expertise and assets.
- Track digital trends, seeking ways to continually improve products.
Skills and Experience:
- Ability to design, create and work towards an overall product design vision that meets and enhances user experiences and business goals across the company.
- Relevant experience as a UX/product designer with demonstrable track record of complex design solutions.
- Experience in working on multiple-integrations, operationally complicated software.
- Proven experience of branding implementation, design systems, style guides, UX patterns and workflows.
- Be confident using popular design, prototyping, discovery and user testing methods and tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Miro, Unmoderated/Moderated User testing.
- Experience using data analytics for monitoring performance and action optimisation decisions.
- Experience working in Agile environments and with Development teams.
- Excellent time management and prioritisation skills.
- Highly skilled at critical decision-making; ability to evaluate business issues and resolve problems.
- Ability to consider long-term sustainability in all design decisions and maintain an eye for reusability in designs.
- Experience facilitating and collaborating with multiple product managers with specialized responsibilities.
- Understand Accessibility standards and how they impact design and product development. Be a champion for Accessibility and advise the team on compliance.
