Job description
We have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced UX Designer to lead the user experience research and the creation of beautiful design solutions that are best tailored to meet user and business needs.
You will work closely with the other members of the product team, and with the wider designer team, and you will champion the importance of good design, user experience and accessibility.
You will contribute to the continuous product discovery together with the Head of Product, Product manager(s) and tech lead(s) to support product development decisions and strategy.
Key Accountabilities
- Work collaboratively with product managers, tech lead(s) and engineers to solve user problems and plan, scope and schedule design initiatives from end to end.
- Facilitate and contribute to discovery activities bringing together the various partners, and promoting a culture of research, design, and testing.
- Apply the right tool for the job from a well-developed toolkit to validate and/or challenge design ideas
- Deliver design concepts across the entire product development lifecycle, from problem solving to initial lo-fi sketches and wireframes, detailed designs and interactive prototypes, to engineering handover and working with team members to quickly iterate on designs.
- Use of different tools, such as flows, affinity maps and personas, to clearly communicate outcomes of user research
- Conduct acceptance testing to ensure that the developed product lives up to the experience
- as designed.
- Act as a champion and advocate of good UX and good design, highlighting its impact in the end-user experience
- Keep up to date with trends in the industry, technology and UX advances to ensure our products are top of the class
Requirements
- Experience in user experience design, whether through professional experience, training, or personal projects
- Collaborative work style focused on co-creating solutions with fellow team members and other partners.
- Experience with standard research methods such as user testing, interviews, focus groups, card sorting and competitor analysis
- Ability to draw insights from qualitative and quantitative data to inform designs.
- Familiarity with at least one interface design tool, such as Figma or Sketch.
- Awareness of technological constraints and how they affect experience design
- Effective time management and multitasking.
- Passion for design and user-centric approaches
- Some Knowledge of Web accessibility and inclusive design
- Experience in working with SaaS products is advantageous
