About the role
The Product Planning team are recruiting for an individual with a passion for UI/UX and a strong drive for innovation, to join as a Senior UX Designer. You will help facilitate internal and external business contacts; pulling the resulting information together to create simple and effective UI/UX designs.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand target audiences needs and conduct user research of competitor products
- Be an excellent communicator with great mediation, facilitation and translation skills
- Craft simple and elegant solutions to difficult technical and functional problems
- Undertake research as required and attend conferences and events, documenting afterwards to extend the team knowledge
- Communicate, specify, and describe UX designs to researchers, developers, testers, PMs, senior leadership and other designers without ambiguity and within deadlines
- Be fluent in technology (especially in digital media – its concepts and direction) and able to understand it well enough to communicate comfortably with developers
- Push creativity and challenger conventional thinking to solve design problems
- Proactively identify areas of improvement in current products and designs
- Mentor junior and mid-level UX Designers
- Contribute to the leadership of the UX of current projects
Key Skills
- Passion for UI/UX and strong drive for innovation
- Excellent ability to maintain design pattern consistency and coherence across the product
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Strong understanding of user testing
- Has a significant UX and wire framing, design and prototyping experience
- Have led UX design from conceptual development through to final implementation
- Experience with responsive design
- Experience of enterprise system design across multidisciplinary groups such as Development, Testing, Design and Research
- Self-directed with effective time management and leadership skills
- Excellent ability to mentor Junior and Mid-level UX Designers
- Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time
