ObcervAbout ITRS
Recognised as a Great Place to Work, ITRS is an Enterprise SaaS provider with industry-leading solutions. Our prestigious customer base includes 90% of the world's top investment banks. We are backed by leading private equity investors and are rapidly growing.
Our headquarters are in Shoreditch - London's tech hub – with offices in other UK and global locations from the Netherlands to Manila, NYC and Florida. We pride ourselves on a diverse, friendly, dynamic culture - with a focus on internal promotion and developing our people.
Scope of Role
ITRS is two years into building the next generation monitoring platform, ranging from infrastructure monitoring to financial services. As a UX designer, you will lead early prototyping of ideas with a focus on efficient feedback loops. You are expected to challenge the existing UIs and views in the company but should also be open to compromise. You will also lead the look and feel of the product(s) and guide the team on user workflows and navigations.
The team operates in a fluent and creative environment where everyone is encouraged to have a say in the product. Figma is used by Developers and Product Owners to define UI mockups, and the mockups are often shown to external clients for early feedback. We favour rapid prototyping over waterfall processes, and also favour early releases over perfection.
You will report into head of engineering for Apps in London. Ideally, you will be based in London working hybrid and will be in the office two days a week (Tuesday and Wednesday).
As a UX Designer, you will:
- Have a genuine interest in data-intensive systems where the challenge is to extract and present the most important data-points in an intuitive way.
- You have an interest in designs which helps people solving hard problems, such as monitoring of business critical systems and rapid indecent investigation. Our products are often used by mission-critical support departments, and you will imagine yourself in those situations when designing the UX for the products.
- You will have:
- Have 5+ years of demonstrable experience designing data-driven applications.
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear, efficient interface designs.
- Experience with design systems and shared component libraries.
- Produce design assets ranging from whiteboard sketches to high fidelity mockups.
- Communicate design concepts to team members.
- Lead collaborative design discussions / activities and lead agreement.
- Visually express complex ideas.
- Have Bachelor or Master’s degree in design related field, or equivalent experience.
A person in this role would benefit from the following:
- TypeScript / CSS / JS development and/or interactive prototyping skills.
- Monitor, IT, developer tool or other expert user interface design.
- Dashboard / Data Viz design experience.
- Based in or around London.
