About the role
We are recruiting for a UX Designer on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity to join our Online Customer Experience team at one of the UK’s leading tour operators.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about travel and digital customer experience to join our small team. More than just a UX Design role, you’ll be involved from start to finish in the project lifecycle from helping to define front-end requirements all the way through to signing off the final build. You’ll be involved in helping to shape and manage our user testing roadmap, identifying opportunities to resolve customer pain points and maximise ancillary revenue. You will be joining a hands-on team who are the voice of the online customer within BA Holidays.
Key accountabilities include:
- Identifing opportunities to improve the online customer experience
- Working with internal stakeholders to define front-end requirements for new developments
- Creating design solutions within BA brand guidelines
- Contributing towards delivering the MVT roadmap (creating campaign designs/testing)
Our essential criteria for this role are:
- Proven experience of using design tools to create visuals/prototypes e.g., Figma
- Understanding of user-centred designs principles
- Proven experience of transforming business requirements into creative solutions
- Ability to confidently present concepts and ideas to stakeholders
- Ability to problem solve with meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects
To help you decide whether you would like to apply for this role, as a guide, a typical salary in this role is around £32 -35,000 per annum (this may vary depending on your relevant skills and experience), plus benefits.
Our offices are based just outside Gatwick Airport and we offer hybrid working (within the UK). This role works from our offices twice a week, with additional days as needed depending on meetings etc. Office days are co-ordinated so that colleagues in the same team are in the office together to collaborate in person. We usually support new colleagues in the office full time for the first few weeks with us. We offer flexible start and finish times.
This role is full time.
