Position Summary:
We are seeking a talented, collaborative, and curious UX/UI Designer who understands the power of purposeful design and an intuitive user experience. The ideal candidate will have design expertise in multiple digital channels and demonstrate a passion for delivering adaptive and creative design solutions by staying up-to-date with emerging trends and best practices.
This designer will be responsible for contributing ideas and design solutions in a variety of digital experiences across all industries and channels with an acute understanding of the connected customer experience, ensuring all elements of the user experience are optimized for improved usability, usefulness, and exceptional visual design.
Position Duties and Responsibilities:
- Optimize existing and create new user experiences from wireframes to UI design solutions
- Prepare final finals for proper hand-off to front end development and collaborate with the development team to resolve any design conflicts
- Work in an agile and interactive design process
- Create and test prototypes for user intuitiveness
- Design experiences for all forms of variables including contextual and personalized content, motion design, modular templates, adaptive and responsive design
- Design experiences across a variety of channels/tactics— including websites, landing pages, mobile apps, email, banners, social, etc.
- Create purposeful design elements, patterns, modular assets, and templates for cohesiveness and efficiency
- Collaborate with various internal disciplines and external developers to ensure that creation and delivery meet Bold Orange high standards for design excellence, user experience and desired business objectives
- Thinking boldly and broadly - solving the problem at-hand with innovative solutions that deliver “And then some” for our sophisticated clientele
- Leverage insights from research and data to connect with a target audience to meet user’s needs and expectations
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic arts, design, visual communications, user experience design, or equivalent work experience
- 3+ years of digital design experience and multi-channel expertise in web, email, mobile app, banners, social, etc.
- Portfolio demonstrating professional digital design experiences for responsive web and mobile app solutions work for multiple digital channels including web, mobile apps, email, etc.
- Comprehensive understanding of digital design best practices as well as emerging trends
- Experience working with and creating digital style guides, UI kits, UI Pattern libraries, modular components, and templates
- Demonstrated diverse design skills across a variety of channels and digital mediums, channels/tactics— including websites, landing pages, mobile apps, email, banners, social, etc.
- Working knowledge of the following, but not limited to: Figma, XD, Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Animate, InVision, iOS, Android, design systems and other creative applications
- Familiarity with HTML and CSS preferred
- Understanding of design principles in typography, iconography, color, imagery and motion design, atomic design, UI patterns and interactive gestures
- Highly creative, strategic and critical thinker
- A keen eye for the details.
- Organized, efficient and collaborative with strong work ethics
- Ability to provide a clear POV on creative ideas/choices
- Strong presentation and interpersonal communication skills
- Self-starter with ability to multi-task, while meeting deadlines
- Enjoy working in a fun, fast-paced environment with highly creative colleagues
