Our current product affordIQ is a phone app that helps first home buyers understand what homes they can afford now and in the future, allowing them to set a budget to buy where and when they want.
We are looking for a UX designer to join our small but expanding team. You will be taking responsibility for the ideation, prototyping, user journey mapping, and asset supply for our customer facing native phone application being rolled out across both Android and iOS platforms.
As a member of the Customer Journey Team your number one priority is the customer. A continued quest to understand the customer forms our core, from which our conversations, decisions, actions and solutions stem. The features and experiences we design only gain true value when delivered to a customer and therefore an agile methodology is central to how we work.
Responsibilities
- Expand and refine our customer journey through the design of new product features as well as the refinement of existing features
- Through research and testing grow the Customer Journey Team's knowledge and understanding of the customer
- From the Product Lead as well as self-directed research, gather and understand business requirements
- From the development team gather and understand the technical constants
- Contribute to the continued improvement and evolution of the Customer Journey Team's tooling and processes. For example our team would benefit from the establishment of an assets library and better defined design system.
Core requirements
- 3+ years experience working as either a UI Designer, UX Designer, Web Designer or User Researcher
- Bachelor's in UX, HCI or related field (e.g. Visual Communication,Design etc.) or equivalent experience
- User Research experience including planning and running user testing
- Skills/talent geared towards UX copy writing rather than visual design
- Experience using design & prototyping tools such as Adobe XD, Sketch, Figma etc.
- Ability to work independently and take the initiative while being team orientated and not driven by ego
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to work with people at different levels and professional backgrounds
- Familiarity working with ambiguity and shifting requirements/context. Not only can you find the answers, but you can find the right questions to ask in the first place.

Job Types: Full-time, Temp to perm
Salary: £30,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
