Senior UI/UX Designer

Arootah services include:
- Providing expert advisors in key operational areas to emerging/established Investment firms
- Coaching direct-to-consumer (executive and career coaching)
- Advising clients with Capital Introduction and Raising for Emerging Managers
- Investing in a portfolio of public and private companies that make a positive impact
- Building SaaS applications for both enterprise and consumer use
- Providing Talent Acquisition and Development services to the financial industry
What We are Looking For:
Arootah is looking for a skilled Senior UI/UX Designer with a passion for building consumer-minded products and a proven ability to think from a consumer-first perspective. As part of the Development team, you will be turning ideas into presentable concepts and translate those concepts into designs that are usable, simplistic, and elegant for web and mobile. Ultimately, you will ensure the design team promotes our brand through delivering high-quality pieces with tight deadlines. We're looking for someone with a passion for solving real user problems and the ability to assume the role of the customer. You'll be working as part of our product team and closely with our development and marketing teams.
Responsibilities:
- Meeting with team to discuss website design and function.
- Designing original pieces, including illustrations and infographics, and building website designs.
- Reviewing junior designers' work to ensure high quality.
- Generating ideas to portray concepts and advertise products/services.
- Increasing user-friendliness of the website and other digital products.
- Maintaining brand consistency throughout all Arootah projects.
- Leading user research and user testing initiatives.
- Brainstorming design ideas to inform the product development process.
- Conducting research on users, product designs, and competitor strategies.
- Developing ideas for UI design elements.
- Ensuring the consistency of the user experience across all products.
- Coordinating with the team such as the content writers, web developers, graphics department to manage the day-to-day design needs.
- Overseeing the work of other designers on the team and providing guidance.
Requirements and Skills:
- BSc degree in Design, Visual Arts, or relevant field.
- Good understanding of website architecture and aesthetics.
- Ability to manage projects.
- Good communication skills.
- Knowledge of using different design software, especially Figma.
- Experienced designing for the WordPress platform.
- Familiarity with the Financial Industry.
- Comfortable communicating regularly with the Creative Director, CEO, and the Website Team.
- 5+ years in digital Web Design roles.
- Can coordinate with the team such as the content writers, web developers, graphics department in order to manage the day-to-day design needs.
- Is experienced designing for the WordPress platform.
- Is familiar with the Financial Industry.
- Can oversee the work of other designers on the team and provide guidance.

- The estimated base salary for this role is $85,000 – $120,000 with additional incentives including bonus and equity.
