The Role:
The User Interface and Experience Designer will work with the product team to design the interface of websites, web applications, and mobile apps. They will ensure that all interfaces are easy to use, consumer-friendly, responsive, aesthetically pleasing, and in line with the brand standards provided by Arbinger’s design team lead.
Role and Responsibilities
- Gather user requirements and business objectives and evaluate them in accordance with project managers, engineers, and product stakeholders.
- Design graphical user interface elements to give the best digital user experience to the users.
- Create Mock-ups and interactive prototypes.
- Make and modify prototypes, design wireframes, and determine the final interactive plan.
- Communicate scenarios, end-to-end experiences, interaction models, screen designs, and other related views to the team.
- Evaluate existing interfaces and optimize the design as required.
- Ensure consistency of design across all interface elements and in accordance with brand design standards.
- Design interfaces that are beautiful, engaging, and easy to use while adhering to 508 compliance standards.
- Create site maps, wireframes, persona definitions, and experience guides for review by the product team.
- Regularly meet with your supervisor to assess the impact of your work on others using our 3A+ tool.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in design, media and communication design, human-computer interaction with UX, or equivalent experience.
- Excellent artistic abilities, design skills, and hands-on experience with Adobe CC tools (XD, Photoshop, Illustrator) and Figma.
- Excellent skills with color design, graphics, layouts, and typography.
- Excellent skills in interface design, prototype design, interaction design, wireframe, and sketching tools.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English is a must.
- Knowledge in HTML5, CSS3, and React is a plus.
- Experience with project management software (ex: Asana and Jira) a plus.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience designing 508 compliant interfaces and experiences.
- Demonstrable UX/UI design skills with a strong online portfolio of applicable work available for review is absolutely required.
- Prolonged period of sitting at a desk and working at a computer.
- Ability to work proactively and productively in a remote team environment with minimal oversight.
- Ability to work with strict deadlines in a fast-paced team.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85,000.00 per year
