Are you looking to get hands-on experience at Bromford while studying for your user experience (UX) degree. Do you want to earn money while studying? We are looking for a talented individual who is fascinated about problem solving and how to make things better to be our new UX Design apprentice here at Bromford and help to set the standard for the next generation of designers and content makers.
If you have:
- Have 120 UCAS tariff points from either an Extended BTEC or A-Level in art & design (or something similar), or an L3 advanced apprenticeship in art or technical design. Or you may have a relevant degree, such as games development
- Or, if you have qualifications from Scotland, you’ll need at least BBBB including Maths, English, Art, Design or Computer Science – and have passed first time
We have an opportunity for you!
- A starting salary from £18,084 depending on age plus benefits and potential pay increases.
- A flexible 37.5 hour working week, 27 days of annual leave days (with the option to buy an
extra 5 days), and a defined pension scheme.
- A dedicated Team Manager and separate mentor to help with your development.

- A recognised Level 6 Digital User Experience Degree from a UK University
- A role in the Communications content team with a starting salary of £25,000 or more.

As an apprentice UX Designer, learning from our inhouse UX design lead, who’ll teach you best practices and and help you take your creative skills and turn them to design systems and process to make customer experiences easier. You’ll get to work with our creative content makers and product owners. Collaborating with technical, editorial and product teams from across Bromford, you’ll design and create accessible, ground-breaking experiences for our customers. From our website, to development of a new Bromford app, you will create enjoyable experiences that delight and are consistent across old and new media.
This role will be based from our office in Wolverhampton (WV10) but as an apprentice you will split your time between working from the office, remotely and being out on site when required, as well as studying for your professional exams. You will need a driving licence or be in the process of working towards qualifying as some travel will be required.

- Technically minded with an understanding of software engineering
- Logical and good at solving problems
- Able to apply theory in practice
- Prepared to juggle work and study
- Able to efficiently multitask and work under pressure
- Good at communicating and working with technical and non-technical people
- Flexible and resilient
- Willing to learn and able to be flexible
- Ability to maintain work-life-study balance to meet required deadlines
- Willingness to contribute as part of a team
- Ability to travel to our offices across our geography, as required
Don’t worry if you don’t have an extensive CV. You can share examples of your passion for art and design from anywhere. That might be other work experience, your time in education, volunteering - even times you’ve helped your friends and family out with technical issues, or your social media!
