Job description
Build up User Research experience in an influential, UX mature organisation.
Work in a business passionate about diversity and inclusion.
Great benefits package including private medical insurance, home working allowance, training and conference allowance.
An international academic publisher is looking for their first dedicated User Researcher to join the team. With a strong, established UX team in place, this is an opportunity for a mid-level researcher looking to help the development of User Research in a major organisation.
What you’ll be doing
The User Research Associate will support research and discovery across a variety of products. This will involve advocating for and developing user research processes internally, which starts with the foundations – improving research processes, supporting recruitment, and generally improving the operations side of user research.
You will be coming into a UX team of 8 – 5 UX designers, a UX accessibility specialist, a discovery experience designer, and the head of UX. They have established great Agile processes and a great understanding of User Experience thinking internally, and are looking to expand the user-centred research they undertake across all of their products.
What experience you’ll need to apply
Excellent research operations experience – recruiting participants for research, introducing processes and practices to streamline research, organising interviews and workshops, etc.
Experience advocating for user-centred research, and perhaps mentoring others in this.
Qualitative research experience, with good understanding of quantitative practices.
Have worked on a variety of methods, including usability testing, competitor research, interviews, and surveys.
Working in a multidisciplinary manner with designers, developers, product owners, etc.
What you’ll get in return for your experience
Friendly, welcoming culture with strong focus on Diversity and Inclusion. Benefits including annual bonus, 25 days holiday (plus BH), private medical insurance, employer pension contribution up to 10%, and training and conference allowance.
