Originally VisitHealth has been focusing on providing nurse-led community-based services. We are now proud to have grown into a company to be adding doctor-led services, telemedicine and remote consultations.
Scope of practice after the Grand Opening of the Clinic:
- Doctor face-to-face consultations (GP and other specialists)
- Doctor mobile services
- Nurse-led medical care
- Nurse mobile services
- Laboratory tests
- Functional diagnostics (ECG, Spirometry, Cardio assessment, etc.)
- Imaging and Radiology (Ultrasound, X-Ray, Computer Tomography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging)
- Urgent Care Centre
General arrangements
- Full-time employment
- 40 hours a week
- Monday – Sunday, working on a Rota basis
- UK citizenship/residency

Responsibilities
The A&E Specialist will be accountable to the Company’s Medical Director and care for patients of all ages and focus on their physical, psychological and social health needs and perform duties including but not limited to the following:
- Comply with all legislation applicable to practicing medicine
- See patients face-to-face daily to care for their general well-being
- Conduct physical examinations, tests or procedures to diagnose patients
- Conduct home visits for patient examination, assessment and planning treatment
- Perform remote consultations via means of telemedicine
- Prescribe laboratory tests and interpret the results obtained
- Explain test results and medical procedures to patients
- Treat a range of medical conditions
- Prescribe treatment, therapy or medication or drugs, including dosage and usage and dispensing medication in accordance with governmental guidelines
- Refer patients to other practitioners and healthcare professionals within the Clinic or to other professionals or facilities, i.e. NHS practices and the Company’s business partners
- Make recommendations for lifestyle changes to improve the patients’ quality of life
- Maintain accurate medical records for all patients
- Prepare thorough medical reports and summaries
- Consult with other Doctors about the specialized needs of some patients
- Maintain medical quality assurance and quality control standards
- Supervise and train medical personnel or trainee or junior Doctors
Skills & Qualifications
- Fully registered with the GMC and current license to practice
- Prescribe, review and administer a range of drugs as a non-medical prescriber
- Perform physiological assessment of walk-in patients regardless of location, responding in a timely manner to any referrals
- Proficient in the delivery of detailed, accurate, and potentially complex clinical handover with the ability to produce detailed and accurate documentation of all assessments, investigations, and treatments
- An additional post-graduate qualification FRCA/FICM/MRCEM/MRCP or equivalent is desirable
- NHS Trained in intensive care medicine or Anesthesia to ST4 and above, or equivalent is desirable
- Able to manage complex airways competently unsupervised and train and support others
- Able to demonstrate teaching and mentoring of junior doctors
- An ILS/ALS provider
- An Independent Prescriber
- Exceptional communication skills
- Proven working experience in a private healthcare setting is desirable
- Counselling skills and the ability to listen actively to patients in a non-judgmental manner
- The ability to deal with criticism and work well under severe pressure
- Strong attention to detail
- Patience and a calm demeanor in stressful situations
- Familiarity with computers and commonly used software packages
- Excellent manner and time management skills
- Willingness to continue learning throughout the career
- Able to meet pre-employment checks including, satisfactory references, enhanced DBS checks
- Provide proof of your covid vaccination status – This is a general requirement to be employed by and work for a healthcare provider
