Job description
Due to an increase in future projects and off the back of a very strong year our client is looking for an experienced UK based Urban Designers to join their busy London design team.
Our client is one of the leading design consultancies in the UK. They have multiple offices with a very strong reputation of both UK and international projects.
They are looking for talented and enthusiastic urban designers with passion, drive and design flare to join the London team to contribute to some of the UK’s most exciting development and regeneration projects.
The number of years you have worked is less important to us than an open, creative and entrepreneurial outlook. Junior candidates would find a collaborative environment to learn. Senior candidates (approximately 5-10 years’ experience) with the right skills would have exciting opportunities to help grow the business.
Key requirements for candidates at all grades are:
- An open and inquisitive mindset and a genuine interest in how places change and develop
- Experience of working in private and/or public sector in a variety of contexts in the UK, including urban regeneration, urban extensions and new settlements.
- Qualification in urban design/ practical experience in urban design and masterplanning at a range of scales with a sound understanding of the UK Planning System
- Excellent graphic, written and spoken communication skills
- Experience and/or a desire to develop project management and job winning skills would be beneficial
- An architectural background would be beneficial but is not essential
