Upcoming Fire Fighter Vacancies
We are planning for upcoming vacancies to prepare for a number of roles that will become available during 2023.
We are running a recruitment drive to look for potential firefighters to support the delivery of
Rescue and Firefighting Services at Glasgow International Airport.
These exciting roles, on a busy Cat 10 airport, provide fantastic opportunities for personal and career development in the aviation sector.
Candidates must have the following:

All selected candidates will be expected to undertake each stage of the recruitment process on the dates below. Please note that dates may be subject to change due to operational requirements:
W\C 8th May 2023: Stage 1: be prepared to undertake and pass academic online assessments (English and Maths)
W\C 15th May 2023: · Stage 2: physical fitness—Bleep Test - minimum of level 8.8 required or Chester Step test / with strength, grip, and muscular endurance. Stage 3: practical selection tests
W\C 22nd May 2023: · Stage 4: competency-based interview
Essential criteria for the Fire Fighter role would be:
- Have the right to work in the UK
- Valid UK Full Driving Licence
- Meets CAA/Falck medical standards
Desirable criteria:
- Aviation / Fire Service Experience
- LGV Driving Licence ‘C’’
The successful candidate will be required to maintain the following:
- A required level of technical competencies as defined by Civil Aviation Authority and Falck Fire Services
- Be required to undertake security checks and references to gain Airside Security Clearance
- Attendance of training courses as agreed by the regulator and the Company
- Maintaining medical & physical fitness
