Shift -20:30 to 07:30

About the role;
This working opportunity is a fantastic opportunity for those looking to pursue and kickstart their career within the social care and or special needs sector. If you’re seeking valuable experience to become an experienced support worker with children or young adults this is the role for you.
Whether you have experience within care, residential backgrounds, coaching, sports work, or community work, we would love to hear from you! You don’t need a formal teaching assistant qualification, just transferrable skills, and a desire to make a difference in the lives of young children/adults.
People with no experience with children or care or special needs are also welcome to apply. We are looking for people that are willing to learn and make a difference in the lives of children and young adults. We also offer all the training needed.
On a whole, most of the children will be asleep for this shift and it’s all about being available throughout the night for anything that may arise like children struggling to sleep.
All these roles will be contracted hours.
Do you need qualifications?
Put simply no, we are looking for people with the right character and transferable skills from any sector or background. If training is needed or refresher training we can provide it for free. Yes free, and all our training are government accredited by a professional training provider that we work with.
Qualifications on offer:
· Health and social care levels 2 and 3
· Teaching assistant Levels 2 and 3
· Special needs levels 2 and 3
· Behaviour management levels 2 and 3
· Understanding Autism
· Understanding ADHD and mental health with children
Working pattern
This is a night shift support worker role. You will work 4 days on and then have 4 days off. This will be a rolling contract and it’s a very popular role, especially for people who want part-time days but full-time pay.
Hours of work
· 8.30 pm – 7.30 am
Rates of pay;
· £13 an hour
Age range;
· On average (5 - 25 years).
Qualifications;
· Non-required – Transferrable skills needed.
Your duties will include;
· Working with children at one location.
· Helping the children settle at night.
· Ensuring the children in your care are in a safe environment.
· Helping the children throughout the night with anything that may arise.
You will need to have the following;
· Be able to work from 20:30 to 07:30.
· Transferrable skills from your personal or working life.
· The ability to demonstrate active listening skills and strong verbal communication skills
· The ability to build positive relationships and understand the individual needs of the children or young adults in your care.
· The ability to provide varying levels of individual attention, reassurance, and support.
· A personable, calm, and caring demeanour.
