Formed in 2002 through the bringing together of a number of well-established departments and research groups in the University of Liverpool, the School provides a world-leading environment for research, management and leadership education. Over the last five years ULMS has engaged in extensive recruitment of academic and professional services staff, expanding into a state-of-the-art extension adjacent to the Georgian quarter of Liverpool. The School now has over 220 academic staff supported by 85 professional services colleagues. The Accounting and Finance Subject Group is now seeking to appoint an individual for the role of University Teacher in Accounting (Grade 8).
The ideal candidate will have a good academic record, including a recognised professional qualification in Accounting, and will be expected to demonstrate a successful track-record of teaching in the public or private sector. An ability to contribute enthusiastically in the delivery and development of a wide range of modules in accounting and finance is desirable.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, together with the ability and enthusiasm to enhance student experience are required skills for the post-holder. Knowledge of the particular needs of international students would be an advantage. The ability to work with the existing academic team in programme and module management is an important requirement.
