
Underwriting Assistant - City London, England
Job description
- To provide administrative and technical support to the underwriting team
- To accurately record underwriting risk information and maintain such records
- Validation of risk information- SCM and USM validation
- Maintain accurate records of underwriting data, utilising various internal and external software systems
- Reporting- Production of regular and ad hoc business reports
- Underwriting- liase with brokers, colleagues, and external organisations to resolve day to day queries
Skills required:
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to develop and maintain good relations with both internal and external clients/ brokers
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks
- Self motivated
- Good analytical and mathematical skills
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Experience in data entry and maintaining system records is advantageous
- Good time keeping and a willingness to respond to increased seasonal workload
- Desire and willingness to commit to studying towards professional insurance qualifications (Chartered Insurance Institute qualifications) via an apprenticeship training program.
