Lineman (OLEC 2 / 3)
Location: Sherburn in Elmet / Sites in Leeds and York
Salary: £36,000 - £48,000 dependant on level of experience plus package.
Summary
An established and experienced railway infrastructure contractor is looking to take on a number of Lineman (OLEC 2 or 3 ) to join their alliance project team in the East of Leeds area.
Responsible for Project One enabling works through to GRIP 5-8 stages. T
The project office is located at Gascoigne Wood with travel across multiple sites between Leeds and York.
The mission of the Alliance is to transform the East of Leeds route allowing people to travel faster, more reliably and in greater comfort between the North's great cities. Providing passengers with more choice, more seats and better facilities on a safer, cleaner, more environmentally friendly railway.
Key duties will include:
- Operate Electrification plant and equipment for the installation of OLE equipment.
- Ensure that safety is at the forefront of construction and that the planned works are delivered safely and on time.
- Deliver the allocated Electrification and associated works, ensuring all works are delivered to contract specification, within set budgetary targets and to the required quality standards.
- Liaise with Electrification team members as necessary to ensure the efficient running of the project.
- Endeavour to achieve high levels of safety, performance, attendance and behavioural standards.
- Lead and assist with development of OLEC 2 / 3 staff
Candidates will also ideally have the following experience/skill set:
- Considerable experience working within OLE construction works. You must be able to demonstrate previous successes gained from significant experience in a similar role.
- OLEC 1,2 and 3 competencies.
- Will be familiar with and have experience of Mk3b, Series 1 and Master series equipment.
- Hold MEWP operator competencies.
- Able to work on own initiative with minimum supervision.
- Must have full UK driving licence.
- You will be required to work on projects across the UK, so a willingness to travel, lodge away from home and work weekends is essential.
